MARILYN ALTHEIDE - BIOGRAPHY

Marilyn acquired her first Doberman in 1969 after having her home robbed. She had always admired the breed and wanted a dog to protect her family and home. She had an interest in obedience and throughout the years titled many Dobermans. She co-owned the first fawn dog to finish on the West Coast, Ch. Silvea Nigra Astroath, CDX, (Fonzie), handled to his championship by Marj Brooks in the 1970's.

Through the years, Marilyn met Darlene Young of Darwin Dobermans. She first saw Ch, Darwin's First Love Song, CD, ROM as a puppy and fell in love with her. After many years of waiting for the right puppy to be born, in 1991 a beautiful red bitch later to be known as Ch. Darwin's Fantasia, (Tasia), came to live with Marilyn on a co-ownership with Darlene.

Thus began the partnership between Marilyn and Darlene and Darwin Dobermans. Tasia was a joy to live with, but she earned the nickname of WILD CHILD. In 1995, Tasia was bred to Ch. Maco's Sugar Twin and from that breeding two dogs finished, Ch. Darwin's Image of Fantasia, WAC (Lexi), and Ch. Darwin's Dance of the Hour, WAC (Dandy).

Marilyn thanks Darlene for trusting her with the very special red puppy bitch, and for sharing Darwin Dobermans. She thanks Dandy for being her "once in a lifetime dog" and also credits him for giving her the opportunity to meet some truly wonderful people.

Marilyn is proud to have the fourth generation of Darwin with Ch. Darwin's Love is a Song, WAC, (Peaches). As was her grandmother. Peaches is WILD CHILD all over again.
